Our story

A room with
more than one rhythm.

MOTD stands for Music of the Day. It began with the idea of bringing a café, restaurant and music venue together in TPK, Puchong.

From Chef Kit’s food to the art, furniture and tableware, the idea took shape through a shared attention to what happens at the table and in the room around it.

Food

Chef Kit’s
kitchen.

Chef Kit brings Malaysian, Chinese and European influences to dishes made for sharing. Yakitori-inspired CHAR uses traditional grilling techniques and two quality charcoals, served from 3–11 PM on every opening day.

Music

A soundtrack
for your day.

Curated playlists on Monday and Wednesday make space for conversation. From Thursday to Sunday, live voices and acoustic instruments bring another rhythm to the room.

Art & design

From the room
to the table.

Bauhaus-inspired geometry and industrial materials set the scene. Art installations give the room its character, while the furniture and tableware carry that attention to detail through to your table.

Window seating brings daylight and greenery into the room. The sound of the room was planned alongside what you see.

The sound of the room

Designed for music
and conversation.

The sound of MOTD was considered alongside its design. Working from a specialist acoustic consultation, we installed custom-made ceiling baffles and perforated wall panels with sound-absorbing backing.

These treatments help control lingering sound in the room. It’s part of how we bring dining, live music and conversation together, from an afternoon drink to an evening performance.

AI may be wrong—avoid sensitive details. Send shares your question and recent chat with OpenAI through Vercel; OpenAI retention applies. Mic uses your device. Listen usually uses it; Mandarin and unavailable languages send only Mr. M’s answer text to OpenAI for an AI-generated voice—not a human voice. MOTD stores no transcript or audio, and analytics receive none. Dictation stays editable; this tab remembers chat for 90 minutes.
